The Fan: progress

I didn't expect this to be such a quick knit; I've finished the back, and am half-way through the second front piece. I just hope there is enough yarn for both sleeves!

Perhaps that's why I'm speed knitting - to finish as much as possible before I run out of yarn? (I'm not always logical when it comes to knitting!) Anyone who recognizes this behaviour? Please?

I must say bourette silk bears reknitting extremely well. After all, I frogged the vest after two years, but that yarn isn't much different from what was left unused. Still, I do hope there is enough to finish this cardigan so I don't have to frog and reknit once more.

Don't worry, you're not the only one who knits faster to get more done before running out of yarn. It's just like driving faster do save on gas...

Ha - that's a great comparison! (It's a good thing knitting is less noisy, though.)Thanks for relief & a smile on my face!

I suppose the sleeves could be any length you decide to make them.

Two souls, one thought! (Is that a saying in English too?)I'm knitting the first sleeve and have skipped one repeat (ten rows) of the border to begin with. If that turns out not be enough I will only have to frog and reknit the sleeve(s).

In English, I think one would say, "Great minds think alike." However, your (I suppose) literal translation of a Swedish saying is wonderful and I will use it if you don't mind.

Jeg tror til og med at Yarnharlot har skrvet meget inngående om dette med å strikke raskere når man skjønner at man har litt lite garn. Det er i hvert fall HELT normalt ;D

Yes, isn't it a beautiful expression? You're right, it's a literal translation of Sw. "Två själar, en tanke."

Pinneguri: Vilken lättnad - och vilket bra sällskap det gör att man hamnar i!
