A spot where I didn't bring my knitting

It would get wet in the outdoors hot tub. I took this photo in the morning of the 24th; it was biting cold and in the evening even colder, -35C (-31F). I thought it was too cold to get into the tub that day, but did the next two when we enjoyed a heatwave of ca -20C (-4F). Unbelievably wonderful, especially when it was dark and the stars were out! And yes, I even got into the lake at one point! The water was so cold it didn't feel cold, but tickled all over the fraction of a second I was in. Once was enough, though.

I've finished the baby cardigan I wrote about in my previous post. I think it's a great construction for a baby garment: very elastic and practically seamless with only two short shoulder joins. Aren't the buttons we found at Yll o tyll cute? There's enough yarn left for a matching cap.

Your hot bath is very pretty and I'm very impressed that you got into the lake with those temperatures! Thank you for the description of it, so I never have to do it myself ;)!
Happy knitting!

Babykoftan är riktigt fin, men jag undrar om den knäpps på insidan också? Kanske gamar jag idén från dig!

That's a very cute baby sweater and looks very easy to get the baby into. Wow, you get some cold temps there. I can't imagine getting into the non-heated water.

Cute pattern. Please share where you obtained, or if it's yours, when and where to buy it.

Thanks for all your kind words about the baby cardigan! The design is mine, but I found inspiration for the shape and construction in a baby garment I saw at my LYS (www.yllotyll.com). Perhaps I could write a post about how I knitted it.

Herr avig: den knäpps inte på insidan, men jag har virkat långa snoddar så att den kan knytas ihop. Borde ta ett foto. Gama på, bara! :-D

I hope you do tell us how you knitted it. I think when we make baby garments it is important to make sure they stretch and yours does. AND to consider that someone is putting it on a baby. Your design really fits the bill. The buttons are so cute. Are the loops crochet or I-cord? Everything about the sweater says "charming". Congratulations.

Thanks, Ron! The loops are crocheted; there are two crocheted strings not visible in the photo too, to tie it on the inside.

Yes that cardigan looks really practical - and really good! Your temperatures make our recent cold snap seem very minor.

Jag skulle aldrig våga hoppa i tror fast det verkar vara en rolig upplevelse! Söt tröja och som vanligt med smarta eleganta lösningar!
